About Us
Creative Minds is an early childhood learning community in Mission Viejo. We design our programs to support strong child development during the important early years. Our program combines Montessori principles with project-based learning inspired by Reggio Emilia concepts. This makes us different from typical preschools and traditional U.S. programs.
Rather than following rigid instructions, children develop real-world skills by:
- Engaging in hands-on activities
- Creative play and mixed media art experiences
- Collaboration with peers and staff
- Guided self-exploration.
- Participating in baking activities that build practical life skills.
- Practicing yoga and meditation to support mindfulness and emotional balance.
Our learning spaces spark curiosity, independence, and confidence. We thoughtfully incorporate baking, mixed media art, yoga, and meditation into our program structure to nurture creativity, focus, and each child’s inner joy. We focus on meaningful experiences that support every child’s growth — academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively — at every step.
Our Founder
Creative Minds Children’s House was founded by Montessori educator Inoka Jayasinghe, whose vision was to create a nurturing, inspiring environment where children feel seen, capable, and confident. With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education and AMI Montessori training, she established Creative Minds as a place where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally through meaningful experiences.
Inoka believes that children thrive when they are given freedom within a thoughtfully prepared and supportive structure. Rather than directing every step, teachers guide children to make choices, follow their curiosity, and engage deeply in their learning. This philosophy fosters independence, intrinsic motivation, and the discovery of each child’s natural potential.
Under her leadership, Creative Minds is committed to strong teacher mentorship, small class sizes, and individualized learning. Educators carefully observe and adapt to each child’s developmental needs, ensuring that every classroom feels calm, respectful, and encouraging. Creativity is woven throughout the program — including art, mixed media exploration, baking, yoga, and mindfulness — allowing children to express themselves, build confidence, and develop strong problem-solving skills.
Her vision remains centered on educating the whole child and cultivating a lifelong love of learning in a warm, beautifully prepared environment.
